要 旨 As a first step toward understanding the distribution of mesoscale atmospheric gaseous elementalmercury(GEM)concentrations, we collected and measured GEM using a passive sampler and anactive sampler in urban and forest areas in Japan including roadside locations, and investigated aconversion factor based on these measurements. Passive sampler and active sampler measurementsshowed a linear relationship, and we learned that multiplying the passive sampler value(ng/day)by6.13(conversion factor; day/.)yields the atmospheric concentration(ng/.). This made it possibleto measure atmospheric concentrations of GEM with a passive sampler.
